Solving an Instructional Learning Design Problem for WestJet

Goal

To develop a design solution for Westjet using the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate).

Project Statement

With 3 other classmates we first developed a needs assessment, which included Target Audience Personas, to determine the instructional design needs that our solution would be addressing. The problem for Westjet was virtually training their PSA’s (Priority Service Agents). As a group we decided to go the virtual reality route when it came to our solution, using AltSpaceVR. We put together a number of prototype situations for the client and created procedures/instructions for implementation of our solution. Assessments, both summative and formative, were included as part of an evaluation plan. In the end, everything was put into a presentation and presented to both our class and the client.

*This project was completed with the help of Nicole Oviatt, Shania D’Costa and Shadi Swaidan
