System Map
Residential Water Use: Over Consumption and Impacts
Goal
To use what we learned to create a ‘problem landscape’ or system map of what influences and is influenced by the problem question being worked on. For reference our problem question was How might we increase the practice of water sustainability within Calgary?
Project Statement
In partners, we used our extensive research relating to water sustainability based on a specific question to develop a system map. Since there are many different aspects when it comes to water sustainability we decided to focus on water consumption and use within households. The first stages involved heavy ideation which included sketches, notes and mock-ups. To fully develop the system map we identified components, relationships and/or categories, as well as played around with overall design and visual meaning.
