MRU App

Storyboarding, Prototyping & Testing

Goal

In groups we were expected to create a design concept of a Mount Royal University app prototype using several concept development tools.

Project Statement

As a group we combined our research to detect similarities and themes, such as increased depression among students. We brainstormed extensively, for what we could do to support mental health and wellness at Mount Royal University. Any thought or ideas were put onto sticky notes and posted in order for us to visualize our thinking together and come up with a plan that incorporated various thoughts and suggestions. We came up with the idea of an MRU app that would make it easier for struggling students to talk to someone about what they are going through and for professionals from the MRU health department to help students who are battling depression, anxiety etc. Persona’s and storyboards were made to create scenarios of different types of people using the app as well. To create a well rounded app we also used various precedents.

*This project was completed with the help of Giselle Nowlan, Steven Tran, Laura Maxwell and Geivan Obmasca.
